Dear parents, alumni and friends of JFP,
The idea of a festive compilation is nothing new!
It has taken the JFP Symphony Orchestra seven years to revisit the « greatest hits » of the holiday season and then bundle them neatly into a nice gift package.
Whether you want to fill your holiday season with this festive music, relive one of these concerts or your child’s or to compensate for the temporary absence of concert at JFP or simply to support the music department at JFP, this compilation is for you!
The compilation begins with Franz von Suppé’s Faireure Pique Dame recorded at the Salle Claude-Champagne in December 2018. It later follows a chronological progression from 2012 to 2019 through several holiday classics including Christmas Festival (2015) and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride (2016)!

We deeply thank Jean-Paul Desjardins, our accomplice since forever, for his excellent work in the sound recording and editing of all our concerts.
Hats off also to Mrs. Thomasine Leonard for preparing the strings of the symphony orchestra and to all the teachers and specialists of the music department without whom none of this could have been realized.

This opus of Christmas works is not the first of the music department and we want to underline the important contribution of Mr. Richard Charron and Jean-Marc Bisaillon who have done a lot for the department and initiated this tradition. We also wish to acknowledge the exceptional work of Raymond Grignet, Gérald MacLeay and Renée Beaumier who made the first recordings of the department.
Of course, we offer our warmest and most sincere greetings to all those young enthusiasts who have passed through JFP and who are the heart and soul of this magnificent compilation!
